Meet the Need NC was a four-year initiative (2021-2025) funded by the North Carolina Council on Developmental Disabilities. The initiative recognized systemic change for I/DD community services and supports requires a common agenda. The content on this website aims to provide individuals, families and professionals education and information on intellectual and other developmental disabilities. It is not intended to replace professional medical, psychological, behavioral, legal, or educational counsel. Reference to any specific agency or legislation does not necessarily constitute or imply its endorsement, recommendation, or favoring by the LAND Policy Education Center, Meet the Need NC or the North Carolina Council on Developmental Disabilities.

Meet the Need NC was driven by the Leadership Alliance for Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LAND), now called the LAND Policy Education Center. They continue the Meet The Need NC movement through the Disability Action Network NC. The LAND Policy Education Center is an educational nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of those with I/DD and their families through policy change.
