Check out our Innovations Waiver Pathway and Tip Sheet!
The Meet the Need NC lived experience advisory group includes people with intellectual or other developmental disabilities (I/DD) and family advocates. They have organized our Meet the Need NC monthly webinars and follow-up newsletters, and have developed an Innovations Waiver Pathway and Tip Sheet for what to do while you are waiting for an Innovations Waiver slot.

Who can benefit from the Pathway and how does it assist?
Who: Individuals suspected of or diagnosed with an intellectual or other developmental disability, or their loved ones or caregivers.
What: The Innovations Waiver Pathway offers foundational knowledge on preparing to access services for individuals with I/DD and guides you through the process. It includes practical tips and crucial actions to take while awaiting services.
Why: Initiating the search for services promptly is crucial! Do not postpone! Even if eligibility seems uncertain, following the steps outlined in the Pathway is essential to ensure awareness of all potentially available services.
